WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team (26-11 overall) will face UW-Stevens Point (31-4) in the first round of the NCAA tournament in St. Thomas' region portion of the bracket on Thursday.
Wartburg received the Iowa Conference's automatic bid by winning the conference tournament over the weekend.
This marks the Knights' eighth appearance in the NCAA tournament and second consecutive year the program earned the conference's automatic bid.
The Orange and Black hold the all-time series lead at 5-3 but the Pointers won the most recent meeting in five sets, at UW-Oshkosh's Invitational earlier this season on Sept. 13.

Wartburg is led by 399 kills from senior Maddie Forsyth (Charles City). Junior Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines), senior Kelly Niemann (Fredricksburg) and classmate Ramey Sieck (Fayette) join her in triple digits with 353, 323 and 277 kills, respectively.
Sieck, the program's all-time career assist leader, has 1,206 this season running the Knights' offense.
Junior Karly Bown (Lincoln, Neb.) leads the team at the service line with 73 aces.
UW-Stevens Point is paced by Emma Brunkhorst's 424 kills. Krista Loos is the next leading hitter with 344 kills.
Alexis Hartman has 1,309 assists and a team-best 31 service aces.
