ST. PAUL-- The Wartburg volleyball team fell in five sets to No. 19 UW-Stevens Point in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to end the season 26-12.

The Knights took the first two sets 25-21 and 25-21, before the Pointers claimed the next three, 25-20, 25-21 and 15-12.

Senior Maddie Forsyth (Charles City) had a team-best 16 kills and junior Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) joined her in double digits with 14.

Senior Ramey Sieck (Fayette) had 43 set assists and classmate Marissa Shinstine (Tripoli) had 22 digs anchoring the Orange and Black's defense.

As a team, Wartburg held the advantage in hitting percentage (.177 vs .114) and blocking (14-11).
