ROCK ISLAND, Ill.-- The Wartburg softball team completed its competition in Augustana's tournament Saturday.

The Knights fell 6-3 to Ripon and 8-0 in five innings to host-Augustana.

In the first game, Ripon started with a 5-0 lead after three innings, but the Orange and Black tallied one in the bottom of the third.

Senior Ashley Bienemann slugged a two-run double in the fifth to make the score 5-3.

Ripon tallied its final run in its sixth inning.

Jena Heise pitched a complete game and fanned six in the outing.

In the second game, sophomore Jess Brunko tallied the lone hit in the second inning.

Augustana plated three in the third and five in the fourth.

Wartburg returns to action Wednesday when it opens Iowa Conference play at Luther in a doubleheader.
