DECORAH, Iowa-- The No. 9 ranked Luther softball team swept Wartburg in an Iowa Conference doubleheader Monday.

The Norse took the first game 6-0 and the nightcap 10-0 in five innings.

In the first game, Luther scored three in the third, two in the fourth and one in the sixth.

Ashley Bienemann and Brianne Sharf hit doubles in the game.

In the nightcap, the Norse plated one in the first and four in the second to take the early lead.

Luther added another run in the next two innings before a walk-off three-run home run sealed the win in the fifth.

Abby Staudt broke up the no-hitter in the fourth inning.

The Knights return to the field tomorrow when they host Loras in their home opener at 4 p.m.
