INDIANOLA, Iowa-- Seniors Eddie Diemer (Cedar Falls) and Chris Thomas (Orlando) recorded career-bests in Wartburg's 83-67 win over Simpson Saturday. Diemer recorded 22 and Thomas had 18. Classmate Taylor Jacobsmeier (Wapello) and junior Clay Cook (West Branch) joined the duo in double figures with 11 points each.

Diemer tallied a double-double with 11 rebounds and had a career-high 12 free throws.

The Knights led 46-33 at halftime and maintained their lead in the second half and led by as many as 24 points.

The Orange and Black held the team advantages in field goal percentage (.510 vs .328), three-point field goal percentage (.455 vs. .292) and free throw percentage (.824 vs .692).

Wartburg returns to action Wednesday when it opens a three-game homestand against Loras at 8 p.m.
