DECORAH, Iowa-- Senior Ashley Kerns (Ames) netted Wartburg's (6-3-2 overall, 1-1-0 IIAC) lone goal in the 4-1 loss to Luther (10-1-0, 1-1-0) Wednesday night.

The game was scoreless until just before halftime as the Norse scored at 43:25. Luther doubled its lead six minutes into the second half (51:21). The Norse scored at 71:47 off of a corner kick and at 86:09 to make the score 4-0.

Kerns ended the shutout at 86:42 with her second goal of the season.

Unfortunately, this also halted the Orange and Black's four-game win and four-game shutout streak.

Wartburg returns to action Saturday when they host Central at 1 p.m.
