WAVERLY, Iowa-- Freshman Alyssa Hewitt (Clive) recorded her first collegiate hat trick in Wartburg's 3-0 win over Coe Saturday.

The Knights moved to 7-4-3 on the season and 2-1-1 in Iowa Conference play while the Kohawks fell to 3-10-0 and 0-4-0.

Her first goal came at 3:46 off of senior Brinkly Werkman's (Marion) corner kick to give the Orange and Black the early 1-0 lead.

This remained the score until she score at 52:56 on a breakaway and put her shot in the back of the net in the lower right-hand corner.

She completed her hat trict at 77:14.

Classmate Beth Crow (North Liberty) earned her fifth shutout in net.

Wartburg returns to the field Tuesday when it hosts Augustana (Ill.) at 7 p.m.
