CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Wartburg (17-5 overall, 2-2 IIAC) fell 3-2 to Coe (19-5, 4-0) Wednesday night. The Kohawks claimed the first two sets 25-17 and 25-21, before the Knights won the next two 25-22 and 25-19 to force a fifth and deciding set.

Coe jumped to an early 8-2 lead and won the final set, 15-9.

The Orange and Black were led by their two middle hitters, senior Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) with 11 kills and junior Kaity Brouwer (Dike) had 10.

Junior Jamie Farley (Cedar Falls) had 30 digs, while sophomore Anne Buscher (West Des Moines) had 11 and classmate Chelsey Schirm (Mount Vernon) had 10.

As a team, Wartburg held the advantage in blocks (7-4).

The Knights return to the court Friday when they play Chicago at North Central's Invite.
