WartburgFreshman Brandon Richardson (Rock Island, Ill.) added his name to the Wartburg record book with his 96-yard touchdown run on the Knights' eighth score of the day as Wartburg defeated Buena Vista 43-24. The old mark was set by Trevor Shannon against Luther for 90-yards.
Richardson led the Knights on the ground with a career-high 146 yards on nine carries.
Junior Logan Schrader (Killdeer, Ill.) finished 13-26-1 for 213 yards through the air and classmate Robbie Anstoetter (Farley) was the team's leading receiver with 78 yards on five catches.
SimpsonThe Storm lost 17-0 to Central last week and enter Saturday on a five-game losing streak.
Jordan Beem ran for 79 yards to lead the Storm (3-5, 0-5), who ran 72 plays to Central's 57.
Banged up from an injury sustained two weeks ago, quarterback Dylan Berkey threw for 87 yards and ran for 47.

Junior Gunner Tranel (Vinton) leads the defense with 50 solo and 33 tackle assists for 83 total tackles. He also has a team-best 7.5 tackles for a loss of 25 yards.
