WAVERLY, Iowa-- Buena Vista defeated Wartburg 79-62 Saturday to claim both meetings this season.

Junior Clay Cook (West Branch) had a team-high 11 points. Senior Eddie Diemer (Cedar Falls) joined him in double figures with 10 points. Diemer and freshman Nick Weber (Peosta) co-led the team on the boards with six rebounds on the night.

The Beavers led 33-24 at halftime and continued to maintain their lead in the second half.

The Knights held the team advantages in offensive rebounds (10-9) and blocks (3-0).

The Orange and Black conclude their three-game homestand Wednesday when they host Dubuque at 8 p.m.
