ROCK ISLAND, Ill.-- The Wartburg softball team moved to 16-6 on the season as it went 1-3 at Augustana's tournament this weekend.
The Knights fell 5-0 to UW-Stout and their rally fell just short against Blackburn, 8-7, Friday.
Saturday, the Orange and Black narrowly fell 1-0 to No. 21 Augustana and defeated Blackburn 4-2 in the final game.
Britt Schoon was the team's leading hitter with her .545 average. Kirby Meyer and Jess Brunko each had a team-best three RBIs and Taylor Smola had a homerun.
In the circle, Rebecca Sieve had a 0.00 ERA as she went 1-0 in three innings pitched.
Wartburg returns to the field Tuesday when it hosts Simpson in the Iowa Conference opener at 4 p.m.
