WINONA, Minn.-- The Wartburg volleyball team concluded the weekend undefeated as it beat St. Catherine's and host-Saint Mary's (Minn.) Saturday.
The Knights beat St. Kate's, 3-1 (25-14, 25-19, 24-26, 27-25). Senior Bailey Wilson (West Des Moines) and sophomore Claire Willenbring (Dyersville) co-led the team again with 19 kills each. This marked a new career high for both players. Junior Kayln Ertz (Mediapolis) joined them in double digits with 15 kills.
Junior Emma Harmeyer (West Des Moines) tallied 48 assists running the team's offense and classmate Jamie Farley (Cedar Falls) had a team-best 26 digs.
In the final match of the weekend, the Orange and Black swept the host-Cardinals, 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-21). Wilson was the lone hitter in double digits with 12 kills.
Harmeyer had 31 assists and Farley added 15 digs.
For their efforts over the two days, Wilson and Harmeyer were named to the All-Tournament team.
Wartburg returns to the court Friday at Loras' Tournament against UW-Platteville.
