Brittany Frush Nets Game-Winner in Double Overtime Thriller

Box Score
Video Highlights
WAVERLY, Iowa-- Junior Brittany Frush (La Porte City) scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season in dramatic fashion Sunday afternoon.

The game was scoreless through regulation to send the game into overtime. The Orange and Black outshot Carleton 6-1 in the first overtime session, which included a goal by Hannah Turner that was called off due to a foul.

Since it was scoreless after the first extra ten minutes, the game went into double overtime.

Freshman Morgan Neuendorf (Waverly) brought the ball up and passed it to Frush who sent her shot attempt over the head of Carleton's keeper to win the game at 103:28. Sophomore Madison Astgen (Dubuque) also had an assist on the goal as well.

Wartburg also increased not only its winning streak to four matches, but also its consecutive shutout win streak to four.

Wartburg returns to action Wednesday on the road against Luther at 5 p.m.
