Box ScoreCEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team (10-6 overall, 3-2 IIAC) fell 74-51 to Coe (10-6, 4-1) Wednesday night.
Freshman Nate Woeste (Atkins) led the team with nine points and seniors Seth Nutting (Milo) and Dan VanGroningen (Oak Forest, Ill.) followed with eight points. Woeste finished a perfect 5-5 at the free throw line.
The Kohawks took a 28-15 lead at hafltime and although the Knights more than doubled their point total in the second frame, it wasn't enough to overcome the margin.
As a team, the Orange and Black held the team advantage in blocks (3-1) and steals (5-4).
Wartburg returns to action Saturday when it hosts Buena Vista at 8 p.m.
