CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Wartburg swept the Iowa Conference weekly awards for women's indoor track and field, the conference office announced today.

Junior Maddie Kleve (Johnston) was the track honoree. She won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:19.29 at the Wartburg Chelsey M. Henkenius Open and was the top collegiate runner in the mile with her runner-up time of 5:07.24.

Senior Kayla Hemann (Stacyville) was the field honoree. She won the shot put and weight throw at the Wartburg Chelsey M. Henkenius Open. Her throw of 17.04 meters (55-11) in the weight throw ranks fourth in Division III, while her winning toss of 13.93 meters (45-8 1/2) in the shot put sits tied for fifth nationally.
