No. 8 Wartburg Travels to Face Dubuque

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 8 Wartburg football team (5-0 overall, 2-0 IIAC) travels to face Dubuque (3-2, 2-0) Saturday at 2 p.m. in a battle of the unbeatens. After dropping their first two games, the Spartans enter Saturday on a three-game winning streak.

The Series
Wartburg holds the all-time series lead at 44-15 and has claimed the last eight meetings.

Career Record Watch
Senior Logan Schrader (Killdeer, Ill.) needs one touchdown passes to become the program's all-time career leader in this category as he is tied for first with 59. He became the program's career leader in passing yards last week and has 7,737 to date. He is second in pass completions (559).

Senior Brandon Domeyer (Manchester) has moved into eighth on the all-time rushing leaders list with 2,956 yards and is third with 43 rushing touchdowns. His 44 career touchdowns rank fourth in program history.

Senior Logan Pitz (Farley) moved into second in pass breakups with 32. He needs four more to set a new school record and three to tie the record.

Classmate Michael Bohlke (Manchester) moved into second in extra points made (122) and continues to extend his margin as the career leader in field goals made (24). Senior Grant Zimmerman (Mendota, Ill.) is fifth with 6,018 punt yards.

Wartburg
Domeyer leads the team on the ground with 473 yards and nine touchdowns. Junior Jake Haberman () is second with 274 yards and Schrader has 172 yards and three TDs. Schrader has thrown for 1,272 yards and six TDs.

Senior Robbie Anstoetter (Farley) leads all receivers with 604 yards and three TDs on 35 catches.

Classmate Gunner Tranel (Vinton) leads the defense with 50 tackles (18 solo and 32 assists). Senior Will Janssen (Mediapolis) is second with 48 tackles and has a team-best 6.0 tackles for a loss of 38 yards.

Dubuque
Maurece Herrion leads the team with 208 yards and four touchdowns on 41 carries. Dai-Von Vance Jenkins is second with 183 yards and one TD on 50 carries.

Rio Johnson has thrown for 1,163 yards and five touchdowns. His top target has been Dylan Schultz who has 21 catches for 218 yards and one TD while Chris Bagley has 263 yrads on 19 receptions.

Trevor Stauner and Dylan Hastings co-lead the defense with 52 tackles.
