Volleyball Moves Winning Streak to Thirteen

ST. PAUL-- Wartburg moved to 22-3 on the season and increased its winning streak to 13 with 3-0 sweeps over UW-Superior and host- St. Catherine's.

The Knights started the day with a 3-0 sweep over UW-Superior (25-12,25-18,25-16). Senior Krystal Graves (Cedar Falls) had a team-best 14 kills on the match and she and classmate Kaity Brouwer (Dike) both finished with a .636 hitting percentage.

As a team, the Orange and Black hit .475 compared to the Yellow Jackets' .161 and had 11 service aces.

Against the Wildcats, Graves and sophomore Maddie Miller (Johnston) both had 10 kills. Senior Emma Harmeyer (West Des Moines) had 20 set assists and sophomore Maria Brown (Peosta) had 16 as they co-ran Wartburg's offense.

Graves and Miller were both named to the All-Tournament team.

The Knights return to the court Tuesday on the road against Luther at 7:30 p.m.
