Wartburg Hosts Simpson in Annual Senior Night

WAVERLY, Iowa--  The Wartburg women's soccer team (11-4-1 overall, 4-1-0 IIAC) hosts Simpson (4-12-0, 0-5-0) Saturday at 5 p.m. The soccer class of 2016 will be recognized between games

The Series
The Knights own the all-time series lead at 15-12-1 including the last six meetings.

Wartburg
The Orange and Black enter Saturday on a four-game winning streak.

Sophomore Morgan Neuendorf (Shell Rock) is the team's leading scorer with seven goals. Senior Brittany Frush (La Porte City) is second with six; however, her four assists give her a team-best 16 points.

Junior Riley Miller (Ankeny) and freshman Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) each have five goals. Freshman Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) follows with four.

Sophomore keeper Beth Crow (North Liberty) has six shutouts.

National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of three statistical categories, which the NCAA released Tuesday. The Knights rank 86th in save percentage (.829), 87th in won-lost-tied percentage (.700) and 93rd in total goals (34).

Individually, two Knights rank in the top 100 of two statistical categories as Crow ranks 41st in goalie minutes played (1374:33) and Neuendorf ranks 80th in game-winning goals (3).

Simpson
Mackenzie Stump and Meredith Harrison lead the Storm with four goals each. Casey Reisen follows with three. Goalie Zoe Seiler has one shutout.
