No. 19 Wartburg Travels to Loras

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 19 Wartburg football team (8-1 overall, 5-1 IIAC) travels to face Loras (4-5, 3-3) Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Series
Wartburg leads the all-time series 25-6 and has claimed the last ten meetings.

Career Record Watch
Senior Logan Schrader (Killdeer, Ill.) became the all-time leader in career pass completions against Buena Vista, in touchdown passes against Dubuque, and in passing yards against Coe.

Senior Brandon Domeyer (Manchester) has moved into fourth on the all-time rushing leaders list with 3,265 yards and is second with 49 rushing touchdowns. His 50 career touchdowns now ranks second in program history.

Senior Logan Pitz (Farley) is second in pass breakups with 34. He needs two more to set a new school record and one more to tie it.

Classmate Michael Bohlke (Manchester) moved into second in extra points made (141) and continues to extend his margin as the career leader in field goals made (25). Senior Grant Zimmerman (Mendota, Ill.) is fourth with 6,611 punt yards.

Wartburg
Domeyer leads the team on the ground with 782 yards on 141 carries and 12 touchdowns. Junior Jake Haberman (Clarion) joins him in triple digits with 348 yards on 72 carries for three TDs and quarterback Schrader has kept it himself 78 times for 347 yards and eight TDs.

Schrader has thrown for 2,481 yards and 15 touchdowns. His top receiver has been classmate Robbie Anstoetter (Farley) with 853 yards on 50 catches and five TDs. Senior Mitch Rahm (Wesley) has 509 yards on 40 receptions with three TDs, sophomore Riley Brockway (Postville) has 360 yards on 33 receptions for one touchdown, senior Jordan Schmitt (West Union) has 438 yards on 27 receptions with three TDs and classmate Mitch Frerichs (New Hampton) has 179 yards on 19 catches.

Senior Gunner Tranel (Vinton) leads the team with 75 total tackles, classmate Will Janssen (Mediapolis) follows with 72 and junior Rob Rottler (Greene) has 70.

National Stat Rankings
The Wartburg football team (8-1) ranks in the top 100 of 28 statistical categories, which the NCAA released Tuesday.

The Knights rank sixth in fumbles lost (3), ninth in fewest penalty yards per game (33.56), tenth in fewest penalty yards (302), 11th in fewest penalties per game (4.00), 12th in completion percentage (.670), 12th in fewest penalties (36), 13th in winning percentage (.889),18th in 4th down conversion percentage defense (.267), 31st in total offense (472.9), 31st in passing offense (287.4), 32nd in team passing efficiency (156.42), 33rd in tackles for loss allowed (4.78), 40th in first downs offense (209), 44th in net punting (34.24) and 47th in turnovers lost (12). The Orange and Black also rank 51st in 4th down conversion percentage (.571), 52nd in blocked punts (1), 52nd in scoring offense (35.3), 54th in turnover margin (.67), 55th in passing yards per completion (13.69), 57th in red zone offense (.822), 63rd in red zone defense (.688), 73rd in scoring defense (22.0), 78th in rushing offense (185.4), 86th in fumbles recovered (8), 92nd in turnovers gained (18), 97th in passes intercepted (10) and 98th in 3rd down conversion percentage (.396).
Individually, three Knights rank in the top 100 of 20 statistical categories.

Schrader ranks 14th in yards per pass attempt (9.33), 15th in total offense (314.2), 15th in completion percentage (.669), 19th in passing yards (275.7), 27th in passing yards per game (275.7), 33rd in passing efficiency (157.1), 35th in passing yards per completion (13.94), 39th in completions per game (19.78), 50th in points responsible for (138), 54th in points responsible for per game (15.3) and 81st in passing touchdowns (15).

Domeyer ranks 16th in rushing touchdowns (15), 21st in scoring (10.7), 83rd in rushing yards (782), 83rd in rush yards per carry (5.55) and 93rd in rushing yards per game (86.9). Anstoetter ranks 36th in receiving yards (853), 40th in receiving yards per game (94.8), 86th in receptions per game (5.6) and 100th in yards per reception (17.06).

Loras
Zach Minch has run for 1,043 yards and six TDs on 186 carries.

Nolan Baumhover has thrown for 2,268 yards and 26 TDs and Nik Schulte has thrown for 1,004 yards and eight TDs. Nate Even leads the receivers with 1,057 yards on 68 catches and 11 TDs.

Bryan Herman leads the defense with 96 total tackles.
