Wartburg Travels to Face Grinnell

WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg travels to face Grinnell (2-0 overall) tonight at 7 p.m. in its season opener.

The Series
Wartburg holds the series lead at 10-8, but the Pioneers have won the last four straight meetings.

The Knights return four of their six top scoring leadings from a year ago. Junior Jordan Cannon (Bollingbrook, Ill.) had 16.1 PPG and 4.3 rebounds/game last year and classmate Nick Webber (Peosta) had 11.8 PPG. Sophomore Nate Woeste (Atkins) was just outside double figures as he had 8.9 PPG and senior Marc Ellis (Des Moines) had 4.9.

Grinnell
Four Pioneers are in double digits on the young season as Julian Marx has a team-high 27.0 PPG, Kyle Parker follows with 23.5, Ky-Sean Johnson has 16.5 and Matt Jasaitis has 11.0.
