The Wartburg softball team (13-5) hosts Augsburg (4-12) in a doubleheader Friday at 4 p.m.



The Knights are riding an 11-game winning streak after a sweep over MacMurray College.

Augsburg holds a narrow all-time series lead at 4-3. The teams met last season and Wartburg swept the Auggies, 5-4 in both games.

The Knights are led in hitting by Katie Sommer (Marion) and Kirby Meyer (Charles City) at .468 and .440 respectively. Paige Blom (Reasnor) has pitched 60 innings with an ERA of 1.79 and a 8-2 record.

The Auggies are led in hitting by Lauren Torborg and Bekka Kelly at .373 and .370 respectively. Torborg also leads the team in hits (19) and has one home run.
