FORT MYERS, Fla.-- The Wartburg softball team moved its winning streak to five with its 2-1 win over Drew and 3-1 victory over St. John Fisher Saturday as it concluded its spring break trip.

The game against Drew was scoreless until the third when both teams tallied a run. Pitcher Paige Blom helped her own cause as she drove in the game-winner on her RBI single to shortstop in the top of the fifth.

Against St John Fisher, Katie Wyman got the scoring started in the fourth with her single to left field that brought in Erica Countryman. The next batter, Kirby Meyer, drove in pinch-runner Micah Chavez and Micaela Forsyth on her double left centerfield to give the Knights the 3-0 lead.

Fisher scored one in the fifth to make it 3-1 but were unable to start a rally as they were sent down in order in the sixth and seventh.

Wartburg is off from competition until March 21 when it takes to the road to face Webster University in St. Louis.
