WartburgTwo players, freshman Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) and sophomore Taylor Smola (Stevens Point, Wis.) lead the team above .400 with their averages of .463 and .409, respectively. Four teammates join them above .300 as sophomore Kirby Meyer (Charles City) is hitting .373, freshman Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) is at .341, sophomore Courtney Belk (Bettendorf) averages .318 and senior Katie Wyman (Springville) is at .309.
Junior Micaela Forsyth (Charles City) has a team-best 12 doubles while senior Britt Schoon (Waukee) and Smola have a team-high four homeruns. Smola leads the team with 27 RBIs.
Senior Paige Blom (Reasnor) leads the pitching staff with her 3.75 ERA and has 12 wins in the circle. She has 68 strikeouts in 115.1 innings pitched.
