WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg football team is ranked in two preseason top 25 polls.

The Knights are sixth in the Lindy's Sports poll and ranked ninth in the Sporting News poll.

Senior Logan Schrader (Killdeer, Ill.) is a First-team Preseason All-American at quarterback in the Lindy's poll and classmate Gunner Tranel (Vinton) is also a Preseason All-American at linebacker on the Sporting News poll.

The Orange and Black open the season Saturday, Sept. 5 against Augsburg at 7 p.m.
