DUBUQUE, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team moved to 6-1 on the season with its 3-1 win over UW-Stout and 3-0 sweep of UW-Platteville Saturday at the Loras Tournament.
The Blue Devils claimed the first set, but then the Knights won the next three to win the match. Junior Claire Willenbring (Dyersville) and senior Krystal Graves (Cedar Falls) led the team with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Freshman Kathryn Nasby (Jackson, Minn.) had a career-high 17 digs.
Against the Pioneers, senior Kaity Brouwer (Dike) led the team with eight kills while Graves and Willenbring followed with seven. The Knights' defense held UWP to a team hitting percentage of .097.
The Orange and Black return to the court Wednesday when they host Simpson in the Iowa Conference opener at 7:30 p.m.
