WARTBURG at BUENA VISTA HIGHLIGHTS

Four Orange and Black players finished in double digits and were led by 22 from junior Nick Webber (Peosta). Classmate Jordan Cannon (Bollingbrook, Ill.) had 18, sophomore Nate Woeste (Atkins) had 12 and freshman Cam Kickbush (Reinbeck) had 11.

Wartburg led 38-34 at halftime and BV outscored it in the second half, including 15-2  in the last five minutes, to force overtime.

After Buena Vista took the one-point lead at 78-77 with 3:06 to go in overtime, the Knights tied it on a free throw from Cannon. Webber's jumper gave the Orange and Black the two-point lead with 1:07 left in OT and after two missed shots by the Beavers, they immediately fouled to put freshman Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) on the free throw line. He made the second attempt to give Wartburg the three-point lead with 30 seconds to go.

BV missed its final two three-pointer attempts, which included one that rang out of the rim as time expired to give the Knights the win.

Wartburg will next host Simpson Wednesday at 8 p.m.
