Wartburg Hosts Nebraska Wesleyan on Senior Day

WAVERLY, Iowa--The Wartburg women's soccer team (9-3-2 overall, 4-1-1) hosts Iowa Conference newcomer Nebraska Wesleyan (6-9-1, 2-4-1) Saturday at noon. The senior class will be honored between games.

The Series
The series is tied at 2-2, though the teams have not met since 2005.

Wartburg
Sophomore Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) is the leading scorer with five goals. Junior Alyssa Hewitt (Clive) and sophomore Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) follow with four each. Junior goalie Beth Crow (North Liberty) has nine shutouts on the season and continues to add to her margin as the program's all-time leader.

NWU
Georgia Straka has a team-best eight goals, and Natalie Graves follows with five. Keeper Madi Francis has three shutouts.

National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of four statistical categories, which the NCAA released Monday. The Knights rank 18th in save percentage (0.900), 34th in shutoutpercentage (0.643), 50th in goal against average (0.621) and 72th in assists per game.
 
Individually, one Knight ranks in the top 100 of three statistical categories: Crow ranks 23rd in save percentage (.0.898) and 53rd in goals against average (0.621) and ranks in 87th in goalie minutes played (1304:17).
