DUBUQUE, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team (18-5 overall, 7-1 IIAC) defeated Dubuque (13-17, 2-6) 3-1 Tuesday night to win its second consecutive regular season Iowa Conference Championship. This marked the fifth overall regular season crown in program history and fourth in five years (2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016).

Four Knights finished in double digit kills and were led by 14 from senior
Claire Willenbring (Dyersville) and sophomore
Lizzy Blough (Dike). Senior
Josie Esser (Harlan) finished with 13 and a team-best .632 hitting percentage while junior
Aryn Jones (Marion) rounded out the leading hitters with 10 kills.
Sophomore
Mallary Erbes (Urbandale) and junior
Maria Brown (Peosta) tallied 25 and 20 set assists, respectively while sophomore Kathryn Naby (Jackson, Minn.) had a team-high and career-best four service aces and 31 digs.
The Orange and Black will conclude their regular season Saturday when they host Northwestern St. Paul.
Wartburg will be the top seed at the Iowa Conference Tournament in Cedar Rapids next weekend and will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
