Wartburg Hosts No. 18 Northwestern-St. Paul

Wartburg (18-5 overall) hosts No. 18 Northwestern-St. Paul (27-3) Saturday at 2 p.m.. The Knights bring a five-match winning streak into the weekend. The Orange and Black won the Iowa Conference championship Tuesday, and the Eagles were tied for first in their conference standings at press time.

The Series
Wartburg owns the all-time series lead at 5-2, but Northwestern won the last meeting 3-0, which was in the second-round of the NCAA Tournament last season.

Wartburg
Junior Aryn Jones (Marion) leads the team with 246 kills and 3.11 kills/set. Senior Claire Willenbring (Dyersville) follows with 170, while sophomore Lizzy Blough (Dike) has 129, senior Josie Esser (Harlan) has 116 and sophomore Mallary Erbes (Urbandale) has 100.

Junior Maria Brown (Peosta) has 391 assists while Erbes has 379 in the 6-2 offense.

Blough and Brown co-lead the team at the service line with 31 aces each. Sophomore Kathryn Nasby (Jackson Minn.) has 403 digs.

Northwestern
Lindsey Peterson leads her team with 462 kills and 4.62 kills/set. Shanay Gonder follows with 240 kills, while Freya Hanson has 216, Leesa Hulstrand has 138 and Kayla Tanner has 102.

Kaelyn Kilbo has 511 assists and Hulstrand has 496. Hanson has a team-best 29 service aces.
