WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Wartburg women's soccer team (10-4-3) tied  Coe (11-7-2) on Saturday, but won in a 4-3 shootout to advance to the second round of IIAC play.



The teams were scoreless through two overtimes and the game went to a shootout. Coe made three of their PK attempts, but junior Beth Crow (North Liberty) saved their other four. Wartburg found the back of net four out of seven times, giving the Knights the 4-3 shootout victory.

Wartburg will play in Dubuque on Wednesday at 5 p.m. against Loras. The winner of that match will advance to the IIAC Championship game on Saturday, Nov. 5.
