WAVERLY, Iowa—Wartburg (13-5 overall, 3-1 IIAC) fell to Luther (13-5, 3-1 IIAC) in an Iowa Conference match Wednesday night in Levick Arena. Luther's win propelled the Norse to their first win in 11 meetings against the Knights.

Luther won 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19).

The Orange and Black were led by junior Aryn Jones (Marion) with 12 kills. Senior Claire Willenbring (Dyersville) had 10.

Co-running Wartburg's offense was sophomore Mallary Erbes (Urbandale) and junior Maria Brown (Peosta), who each tallied 19 assists.

For Wartburg's defensive effort, sophomore Kathryn Nasby (Jackson, Minn.) had a team-high 18 digs. Nasby also recorded two service aces.

Leading the Norse was Jamie Sindlinger with 11 kills.

Setter Sam Sixta recorded 38 assists, while leading Luther's offense.

Taylor Gaide had 24 digs for the Norse.

Next up for Wartburg is Bethel University at Levick Arena on Saturday at 10 a.m.
