WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg men's basketball team (5-0 overall, 0-0 IIAC) hosts Nebraska Wesleyan (5-0, 0-0) Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Iowa Conference opener. NWU became members of the IIAC this year.

The Series
Wartburg holds the all-time series lead at 2-0 against NWU, but the teams have not met since 2006.

Wartburg
Wartburg is off to its best start in program history since 2000-01, when it started 6-0. The Knights opened the 2014-15 season 4-0. Junior Jaran Sabus (Urbandale) leads the Knights with 19.4 PPG and is second with 5.2 rebounds/game. Classmate Nate Woeste (Atkins) and seniors Jordan Cannon (Bolingbrook, Ill.) and Nick Webber (Peosta) follow with 17.4, 16.6, and 10.8 PPG, respectively.

NWU
Cooper Cook and Nate Schimonitz lead the team with 19.8 and 19.4 PPG, respectively, while Deion Wells-Ross is the top rebounder with a 10.2 per contest.
