Knights Compete in IIAC Tournament

WAVERLY, Iowa—Wartburg (19-5 overall) is set to compete in the Iowa Conference volleyball tournament on Friday, Nov. 4 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. The Knights will face the winner of Central (13-14) and Nebraska Wesleyan's (15-13) match at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $6 for adults, $3 for children 18 and under, per day. Wartburg students are free with student ID.

Wartburg in the IIAC Tournament
The Orange and Black have an overall record of 22-11 while playing in the Iowa Conference Tournament. Last season, the Knights mastered a 6-1 set record, claimed the tournament championship, and qualified for the NCAA Division III Central Regional.

The Series
The Central Dutch hold the record against Wartburg, 16-52. The Knights swept Central on Oct. 21, 3-0.

Nebraska Wesleyan also has the overall record against the Knights at 9-16-1. Wartburg swept the Prairie Wolves on Oct. 1, 3-0.

Wartburg
Junior Aryn Jones (Marion) has a team-high 263 kills and averages 3.17 kills/set. Jones also has 84 total blocks (46 solo, 38 assists).

Wartburg's offense is run by junior Maria Brown (Peosta) and sophomore Mallary Erbes (Urbandale) with 413 and 404 assists, respectively.

Brown has recorded 32 aces from behind the service line.

The defensive effort for the Knights is led by sophomore Kathryn Nasby (Jackson, Minn.) with 411 digs to date.

Central
The Dutch are led by Kylie Gerstein with 282 kills and a set average of 2.76 kills. Gerstein also has a team-high 333 digs on defense.

Chapel Carter runs Central's offense and has tallied 578 assists on the season.

Central's Jenna Dille has 32 service aces and 77 total blocks (13 solo, 64 assists).

Nebraska Wesleyan
Malory Dahl leads Nebraska Wesleyan in kills with 322 and a set average of 3.19/set.

Running the Prairie Wolves' offense is Taylor Crandall with 987 assists.

From behind the service line, Sid Mell has 49 aces.

Kennedy Hegert has tallied 606 digs for the Nebraska Wesleyan defense.

NCAA National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranked in the top 100 in eight statistical categories, released by the NCAA.

The Knights ranked 9th in digs per set (19.80), 25th in blocks per set (2.11), 37th in match win-loss percentage (0.792), 52nd in assists per set (11.76) and opposite hitting percentage (0.118), 59th in team attacks per set (37.17), 62nd in kills per set (12.58) and 66th in hitting percentage (0.209).

Individually, Jones and Erbes ranked in the top 100 in four categories.

Jones ranked 42nd in hitting percentage (0.338), 56th in blocks per set (1.01) and 82nd in points per set (4.06).

Erbes ranked 19th in triple doubles with one.
