WAVERLY, Iowa---The Wartburg softball team (4-11 overall) will travel to Rock Island, Ill. this Friday and Saturday to compete in the Augustana Tournament. Wartburg will play Saint Ambrose University (11-5), Augustana College (8-10), and Northland College (1-13).
 


Wartburg
Sophomore Mara Forsyth (Charles City) is the top-hitter for the Knights with a .533 average and team-high 24 hits. Classmate Erica Countryman (Plainfield) follows with .377. Freshman Liz Roby Miklus (Ankeny) and sophomore Emma Fuhs (Chariton) are also batting over .300 with .314 and .303. Junior Kimberly Wedeking (Clarksville) has pitched 49.2 innings with a 4.35 ERA.
 
Saint Ambrose
Leading the Bees is Morgan Krieger with an average of .356. Anna Boffeli and Julie Trellicoso join here over .300 with .320 and .315, respectively. Ashley Yattoni has an ERA of 1.34 and 47 innings pitched.
 
Augustana
Carly Wilson leads Augustana with a .415 average. Also batting over .300 for the Vikings is Alaina Hofmann and Brittany Kellett with .387 and .384. Ashley Anderson is the lead pitcher with a 2.91 ERA and 65.0 innings pitched. Wartburg went 1-1 with Augustana last weekend.
 
Northland
Leading Northland is Crystal Diaz with 13 hits and a .325 average. Diaz is also the leading pitcher with a 7.06 ERA.

National Stat Rankings
The softball team is ranked 87^th in shutouts (303).
 
Individually, two Knights ranked in the top 100 in five categories.
 
Sophomore Mara Forsyth (Charles City) is ranked 47^th in slugging percentage (.889), 54^th in triples (2), 62^nd in batting average (.533), 75^th in home runs (3) and 77^th in on base percentage (.580). Junior Kimberly Wedeking (Clarksville) is also  ranked 54^th in triples (2).
