WAVERLY, Iowa---The softball team (6-14 overall) will host Grinnell College (8-5) Sunday at 1 p.m. in its home opener. The doubleheader against UW-Platteville originally scheduled for Saturday has been moved to Wednesday, April 6 at 3:30 p.m.

Leading Wartburg is sophomore Mara Forsyth (Charles City) with a team-high 26 hits and .491 average. Following is classmate Erica Countryman (Plainfield, Ill.) averaging .379 and freshman Kailee O'Brien (Altoona) with .308. Forsyth also leads the team in RBIs with 14. Junior Kimberly Wedeking (Clarksville), has a 4.24 ERA in 63.2 innings pitched.
