ST. PAUL-- The Wartburg volleyball team opened its season 2-0 with sweeps over Wheaton and UW-Superior at the Bethel Invite Friday.

The Knights swept Wheaton 25-10, 25-16, 25-15. Junior Aryn Jones (Marion) had a career-high 12 kills and sophomore Kathryn Nasby (Jackson, Minn.) tallied 19 digs.

The Orange and Black swept UW-Superior 25-14, 25-15, 25-18. Jones set a new career mark with 13 kills and had a .550 hitting percentage. Sophomore Maria Brown (Peosta) had 13 digs and added two service aces.

Wartburg concludes competition in the tournament tomorrow.
