DECORAH, Iowa – The Wartburg College men's basketball team (12-5 overall, 4-4 IIAC) was victorious over Luther College (2-12, 0-7) on Wednesday 73-66.

In the first half, Luther scored the first eight points and Wartburg answered by scoring the next ten. The teams went back-and-forth for the remainder of the half, but Luther took an 11-point advantage at the buzzer and led 37-26.

Wartburg fought back in the second half and tied up the ballgame 39-39 with 15:17 to play. The Norse then took another lead, this time up by eight, but Wartburg was able to cut the deficit with timely three-point shots. Senior Nick Webber (Peosta) was the team's top scorer and rebounder, recording 15 points and 6 grabs. Webber was the only Knight to reach double digits in the game and is now just two points shy of the 1,000 Point Club.

Three Wartburg players combined for all seven three-pointers in the game. Sophomore Cam Kickbush made three from behind the arc, while junior Nate Woeste (Atkins) and junior Sawyer Herman (Monticello) each connected for two. Six of the seven makes were scored in the second half.
