Wartburg Travels to Luther

WAVERLY, Iowa-Wartburg's women's soccer team (8-4-2 overall, 2-1-2 IIAC) travels to Decorah to take on Luther (6-6-0, 3-1-0) on Friday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m.

The Series
The Orange and Black are down in the series against the Norse at 8-23-1. During last season's game, the Knights narrowly fell, 2-1 in overtime.

Wartburg
The Knights' offense is powered by senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) with a team-best ten goals. Neuendorf's ten goals is a career-best.

Junior Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) has five goals on the season.

Neuendorf and junior Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) have each tallied three assists on the season.

In goal, senior Beth Crow (North Liberty) continues to add to her program-best record of 35 shutouts. On the season, Crow has recorded 97 saves.  

Luther
For the Norse, Maggie Anderson and Ellie Schmid each have four goals on the season, which is a team-best.

Meredith Arpey has totaled a team-high four assists.

Goalkeepers Kennedy Bergren and Lauren Thormodsgard have tallied a combined two shutouts and 54 saves on the season.

Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of three statistical categories, which the NCAA released Monday.
 
The Knights rank 37th in save percentage (.864), 76th in saves per game (7.71), and 90th total goals (30).
 
Individually, two Knights rank in the top 100 of seven statistical categories: Crow ranks 18th in goalie minutes played (1210:00), 30th in total saves (97), 43rd in save percentage (.866), and 66th in saves per game (7.46), and Neuendorf ranks 16th in game-winning goals (4), 61st in total goals (10), and 72nd in total points (23).
