DECORAH, Iowa-Wartburg's women's soccer team (9-4-2 overall, 3-1-2 IIAC) shutout Luther (6-7-0, 3-2-0), 3-0 Friday.
Senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) found the lower right corner of the net for Wartburg's first goal of the game at 34:28. Junior Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) tallied an assist. Neuendorf's goal adds to her team-best 11 goals this season.
Drewelow then found the net on a shot outside the box at 41:37, and Neuendorf got the assist. Drewelow's goal marked her second goal this season and this week.
Scoring the Orange and Black's third goal of the game was junior Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) at 64:13 on a shot across the net. Freshman Molly Close (Polk City) recorded her first assist of the season. Adair's goal was her sixth goal this season.
In goal, senior Beth Crow (North Liberty) nabbed her 36th career shutout, which is a program-best. With the win, Crow ties the program record for wins with 41. In tonight's game, Crow tallied eight saves.
The Orange and Black return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 17th, as they host Loras at 5 p.m.
