No. 16/19 Wartburg Hosts Dubuque

WAVERLY, Iowa-- No. 16/19 Wartburg (7-0 overall, 5-0 IIAC) hosts Dubuque (5-2, 3-2) Saturday at 1 p.m. The Knights received the No. 16 ranking in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 poll for week six and the No. 19 spot in the d3football.com Top 25 poll for week eight.

Wartburg has also won 21 of its last 22 home games, which dates back to the 2013 season.

The Series
Wartburg holds the all-time series lead, 45-29, which includes nine of the last 10.

Sophomore Dylan Binion (Albany, Ill.) leads the team on the ground with 691 yards and eight touchdowns.

Junior quarterback Matt Sacia (Eldridge) has thrown for 1,812 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season. He has finished with triple-digit passing yards in 14-straight games and in 16 of his last 17, which dates back to last season.

Sacia's top target has been senior Riley Brockway (Postville), who has 733 yards on 54 catches with eight TDs.
 
Senior Rob Rottler (Greene) leads the defense with 67 total tackles. Freshman JoJo McNair (Joliet, Ill.) has a team-best five interceptions.

Senior Tony Anstoetter (Farley) has a team-best 6.0 TFL.

Career Leader List Watch
Sacia now ranks seventh on the program's career leader list in passing yards (4,551). His 42 passing TDs rank eighth, and his 356 completions are seventh-best.

Brockway's 1,950 receiving yards and 150 receptions both rank fourth-best. He is also third in kick return yards (1,204) and kick returns (56).

Senior Brayton Brandt (Center Point) has made 69 PATs, which is eighth-best.

Dubuque
Dwayne Allen Jr. is the team's leading rusher with 1,152 yards and nine TDs.

Conor Feckley has thrown for 1,138 yards and 11 TDs. Emanuel Jenkins leads the receivers with 546 yards on 31 catches for four TDs.

Derek Trotter leads the defense with 61 tackles.

Senior Chris McNutt (Solon) ranks 67th in interceptions per game (.4) and 72nd in passes defended (1.3), senior Jake Pisarik (Mount Vernon) ranks 18th in punting (40.5), Rottler ranks 62nd in total tackles (9.6), and senior Brayton Brandt (Center Point) ranks 81st in field goal percentage (.571);

Sacia ranks 5th in completion percentage (.692), 19th in passing efficiency (169), 26th in passing touchdowns (18), 27th in yards per pass attempt (8.71), 29th in points responsible for per game (18), 34th in points responsible for (126), 38th in completions per game (20.57), 40th in passing yards (1,812), 44th in passing yards per game (258.9), and 48th in total offense (274.3).

Junior Peyton Imhof (Dubuque) ranks ranks 9th in passes defended (2) and 33rd in interceptions per game (.6),  Binion ranks 45th in rush yards per carry (5.91), 46th in rushing touchdowns (8), 50th in rushing yards (691), 56th in rushing yards per game (98.7), and 85th in total touchdowns (8).

Sophomore Cedric Dobbins (Waukee) ranks 48th in passes defended (1.4) and 67th in interceptions per game (.4); and McNair ranks 1st in passes defended (2.4) and 9th in interceptions per game (.7).
