Knights Travel to No. 19 Loras in IIAC Semifinals

WAVERLY, Iowa--Wartburg's women's soccer team (10-4-4 overall, 4-1-1 IIAC) travel to take on No. 19 Loras (12-1-3, 6-0-2) in the Iowa Conference Tournament semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.

Win and Advance
Fourth-seed Wartburg tied fifth-seed Coe, 0-0 on Saturday, Oct. 28, with the Knights winning with a 2-1 shootout. The top-seed Duhawks had a bye during the quarterfinals. The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the Iowa Conference Tournament finals on Saturday, Nov. 4. 

Wartburg
The Wartburg offense is led by senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) with a team-best 12 goals. Neuendorf's 12 goals also mark her career best for goals in a season. 

Neuendorf also leads the team in assists with five and junior Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) has four.

In goal for the Knights, senior Beth Crow (North Liberty) has tallied eight shutouts and 132 saves on the season. Crow continues to add to her own program record in career  wins (42) and career shutouts (37).

Loras
Leading the Duhawk offense is Elizabeth Mills with nine goals and Maura Walsh with eight. Gretchen Schutz has a team-best nine assists on the season. 

Goalkeeper Kaylee Coble has recorded four shutouts and 74 saves in the net for Loras. 

National Stat Rankings
The Orange and Black rank in the top 100 of three statistical categories, which the NCAA released Monday.
 
Wartburg ranks 14th in save percentage (.888), 67th in saves per game (7.94), and 67th in shutout percentage (.500).
 
Individually, two Knights rank in the top 100 of six statistical categories: Crow ranks 17th in save percentage (.892), 31st in total saves (132), 34th in goalie minutes played (1611:23), 56th in saves per game (7.76), and 84th in goals against average (.894), and Neuendorf ranks 22nd in goal-winning goals (5).
