LINCOLN, Neb.-- The Wartburg women's soccer team (7-4-2 overall, 1-1-2 IIAC) recorded its fifth shutout of the season in the 3-0 win over Nebraska Wesleyan (4-7-1, 1-3-0) Saturday.
Thirty-five seconds after an own goal, senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield) netted her team-best eighth goal of the season. About 10 minutes later, Katie Ives scored her first goal of the season off of a free kick.
NWU outshot the Knights 10-2 in the second half, but was not able to score.
Senior Beth Crow (North Liberty) earned her fifth shutout of the year, and also the 34th of her career as she continues to extend her lead in that category as the program's all-time leader. This marked her 39th career win, which ranks second on the career leader list.
