ST. PAUL-- The Wartburg volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-21,12-25,25-16,25-15) to No. 16 Gustavus in the NCAA Tournament Regional Semifinal Friday. The Knights end the season 25-6.

Freshman Kylie Bildstein (Dyersville) had a career-high 12 kills. Senior Aryn Jones (Marion) had a team-best 17 on the match.

Setters senior Maria Brown (Peosta) and junior Mallary Erbes (Urbandale) finished with double-doubles as Brown had 22 assists and 10 digs, while Erbes had 18 and 14, respectively. Freshman Katie Foster (Charles City) had 31.

As a team, the Orange and Black held the advantage in service aces (5-2), which is one of the strengths of the team, commented head coach Jen Walker in the postgame press conference.

Wartburg dominated the second set, and held the Gusties to a .060 hitting percentage in that frame. For her efforts, Jones was named to the Central Region All-Tournament team.
