PLATTEVILLE, Wis.-- The No. 4/14 Wartburg women's basketball team moved to 5-0 on the season in its 58-55 win over UW-Platteville (2-4) Saturday.

Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) led all scorers with 16 points and a team-best eight rebounds. Classmate Miranda Murphy (Alleman) joined her in double digits with 12 points.

The Pioneers led 27-23 at halftime, and 43-37 after the third quarter.

The Knights used a strong fourth quarter, outscoring UWP 21-12. The Orange and Black knotted the game at 50 all with 4:42 remaining. Wartburg quickly built its lead to four on a jumper from junior Adrienne Boettger (Cedar Falls) and two free throws by Sommer.

The Knights return to the court Wednesday when they host Loras at 6 p.m.
