WAVERLY, Iowa-- Wartburg (21-15 overall) is the No. 4 seed for the Iowa Conference Tournament this weekend and will face the No. 5 seed, Buena Vista (20-16) at 2 p.m. Friday. Luther will serve as host. This marks the second-straight year the Knights have qualified for the tournament and sixth overall appearance since the tournament began in 2006. The Knights are 12-3 in the tournament.

Wartburg
Junior Mara Forsyth (Charles City) leads the team in batting average (.436), RBIs (60), and home runs (14).
Sophomore Kailee O'Brien (Altoona) is second on the team in batting average at .400, while senior Taylor Smola (Stevens Point, Wis.) is second on the team in RBIs (32) and home runs (9).
Senior Kimberly Wedeking (Clarksville) leads the pitchers with a 3.72 ERA, 14 wins, and 15 complete games.
Career Record Watch
Wedeking now holds the No. 2 spot on the program's career-leader list in complete games (46), is sixth in strikeouts (212), seventh in innings pitched (372.0) and in wins (33).
Forsyth is now third in career home runs (23) and Smola is seventh (14).
Buena Vista
Marissa Schmidt leads the team at .421 and Keely Bycroft follows at .367. Moriah Guyett leads the pitching staff with a 3.00 ERA and is 12-7 in 119.0 innings pitched.

The Knights are: eighth in stolen bases/game (3.03), 12th in home runs/game (0.79), 27th in slugging percentage (.491), 52nd in scoring (6.38), 60th in doubles/game (1.71), 83rd in batting average (.322), 89th in on-base percentage (.388), and 97th in triples/game (0.29).
Individually, four individuals rank in ten categories.
Mara Forsyth is second in RBIs/game (1.62), third in home runs/game (0.38), fourth in home runs (13), slugging percentage (.951) and RBIs (55), eighth in total bases (98), 45th in runs/game (1.15), 61st in on base percentage (.520)
Taylor Smola is 40th in home runs/game (0.24), 33rd in home runs (8). Sophomore Liz Roby Miklus (Ankeny) is 41st in stolen bases/game (0.74) and Wedeking is 62nd in wins (13).
