WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team (5-1) hosts its first of two tournaments this weekend with the annual Knights Classic.

The Knights will face Augsburg (7-2), Cornell (8-2) and Waldorf (2-10).

The all-time series is tied with the Auggies at 6-6, though the team from the north has won the last three-straight. Wartburg owns the lead at 29-14-1 over the Rams and have won the last two-straight matchups. The Knights lead 5-1 over the Warriors and claimed last year's match, the first one between the programs since 1986.

Wartburg
Senior Aryn Jones (Marion) has a team-best 65 kills, 3.42 kills/set, .402 hitting percentage and eight service aces. Senior Maria Brown (Peosta) leads the setters with 88 assists and junior Mallary Erbes (Urbandale) follows with 75 in the 6-2 system.

Freshman Katie Foster (Charles City) has 94 digs.

Augsburg
Taylor Linn leads her team with 101 kills and Jordan Weeding has 13 service aces.

Cornell
Libby Schnoor has 131 kills and Jillian Schulte has a team-best 15 aces. The Rams face Coe Friday night before traveling to Waverly.
