Knights Travel to UW-La Crosse

WAVERLY, Iowa-The Wartburg women's soccer team (5-1-0 overall) faces UW-La Crosse (4-0-2) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in La Crosse, Wis.

The Series
The series between Wartburg and UW-La Crosse is tied at 4-4-1. UW-La Crosse won the most recent meeting between the two teams in 2015, 3-2 in OT.

Wartburg
The Orange and Black's offense is led by senior Morgan Neuendorf (Plainfield), junior Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) and senior Alyssa Hewitt (Clive) with three goals each. Neuendorf and Adair each have seven assists on the season.

In goal, senior Beth Crow (North Liberty) has tallied two shutouts on the season, along with 49 saves.

UW-La Crosse
Kaitlyn Villars and Alex Cording have a team-high three goals for the Eagles. Villars has also tallied a team-best four assists this season.

Goalkeepers Meghan Cannestra, Lily Brock, Abbi Burke and Kennedy Brault have a combines 40 saves and four shutouts.

National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of three statistical categories, which the NCAA relased Monday.

The Knights rank 39th in won-lost-tied percentage (.833), 66th in saves per game (8.17) and 95th in save percentage.

Individually, two Knights rank in the top 100 of four statistical categories: Neuendorf ranks 5th in game-winning goals (3), Crow ranks 37th in total saves (48), 54th in saves per game (8) and 88th in goalie minutes played (540:00).
