Wartburg Hosts Loras, Wartburg Quad

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg volleyball team (11-8 overall, 4-1 American Rivers Conference) hosts Loras (14-7, 2-2) Friday at 7:30 p.m. and then UW-Platteville (7-15) at 10 a.m. and St. Thomas (16-7) at noon Saturday in the Wartburg Quad.

Both programs bring a four-match winning streak into Friday's match.

The Series
Wartburg holds the all-time series lead at 44-15 over Loras, which includes the last three-straight. UW-Platteville leads 18-13, though the Knights have won the last three-straight. St. Thomas lead 16-5, but the Orange and Black won last year's meeting in the NCAA Tournament.

Wartburg
Senior Lizzy Blough (Dike) leads the team with 227 kills and 4.13 kills/set. Freshman Jayme Willemssen (Waverly) follows with 1674 kills and sophomore Kylie Bildstein (Dyersville) also has triple digit kills with 145. Bildstein leads the Knights with a team-best .266 hitting percentage.

Senior Mallary Erbes paces the team with 606 assists and a team leading 36 service aces.

Katie Foster leads the Knights with 258 digs on the season. Bildstein has a team-best 56 total blocks. 

Career Record Watch
Mallary Erbes ranks seventh in assists (1,800). Erbes needs 38 more assists to move into sixth. 

Loras
Jenna LaCorte leads the team with 197 kills and 31 service aces. Michelle Budden has 183, Kelly Boge follows at 163, and Kayla Kinney has 135.

UW-Platteville
Olivia Kudronowicz leads the team with 217 kills and 29 service aces. Three teammates join her in triple digits as Hailey Youngren has 155, Kaite Asche follows at 141 and Katie Jones has 108.

St. Thomas
Madie Kroehler has a team-best 223 kills. Grace Bordson follows at 196, Julia Spacek has 177, Audrey Erickson has 153 and Fran Egan rounds out those in triple digits with 138. Ellie Meyer leads the team from the service line with 39 aces.

National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of four statistical categories, which the NCAA released Monday.
 
The Knights rank 39th in digs per set (18.53), 40th in team attacks per set (37.72), 44th in blocks per set (1.91), and 92nd in team total blocks (122.5).
 
Individually, two Knights rank in the top 100 of five statistical categories: Blough ranks 1st in attacks per set (13.56), 22nd in kills per set (4.06), 34th in points per set (4.48), and 71st in total attacks (705); and Erbes ranks 84th in assists per set (9.13).
