The Series
The Knights and Storm have faced one another a total of 30 times in program history, with the Knights owning an 18-11-1 series record, including a current nine match win streak over the Storm. The Knights last match with the storm took place on Oct. 22, 2017, in a 4-0 victorious effort at Simpson College.
 
Wartburg
The Knights (11-4-1 overall, 5-1-1 A-R-C) are in the midst of a four game win streak that dates back to Oct. 6 against Nebraska Wesleyan. The Knights have outscored their opponents 38-15 this season, which stands at third overall in goals scored is tied for best in goals against. Leading the Knights in goals is senior forward Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) who's eight season goals rank tied for fifth overall in the American Rivers Conference. Trailing Adair is fellow senior Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) and freshman Joy Smith (Polk City) with six apiece. Freshmen goalkeeper Marissa Lopez (Ankeny) leads the goalies with a 9-2-1 record this season, in addition to compiling 59 saves in 1,302 minutes of play.
 
Simpson
The Simpson Storm (4-10, 2-4) are in a three-game losing streak that dates back to Oct. 10 vs. Luther. On the season, the Storm have scored 15 goals, coming in at seventh overall in the conference. Two Simpson players lead the team in scoring, as freshman Baileigh Nagy and junior Almee Shrock are tied with three each. Simpson has attempted 80 shots this season, with 43 of them coming on goal. The Storm are coached by Jeremy Reinert, who is in his first season with the team.

Marissa Lopez's save percentage (.881) ranks 28^th overall in the NCAA, while her goals against average (.697) comes in at 57^th overall.
