The Knights (7-4-1 overall, 1-1-1 ARC) are coming off of a 1-1 double-overtime tie against the University of Dubuque on Wednesday. The Knights are lead in scoring by a trio of forwards. Senior
Nicole Adair (Reinbeck) and freshmen
Joy Smith (Polk City) lead the way with six goals each, while senior
Alyssa Drewelow (Cedar Rapids) trails with four goals of her own. The three Knights have combined for 16 goals and seven assists for 39 points. Freshmen goalkeeper
Marissa Lopez (Ankeny) has provided a strong presence in the box, as she has earned five wins and compiled 48 saves with two shutouts. Lopez's stingy defense plays a large role in the Knights only allowing nine goals all year to opposing teams.
The race to 96
Head coach Tiffany Pins needs only seven more victories to tie the all-time women's soccer career victories at Wartburg, set by former coach Jim Conlon (2000-07). The Knights have five more regular season games before the American Rivers Conference Tournament gets rolling.
Nebraska Wesleyan
The Prairie Wolves (6-5, 0-3) are coming off back-to-back losses to Simpson College and Loras College over the past week. The Prairie Wolves haven't been able to find success on the road, as they currently own a 1-3 record away from home. On the year, the Prairie Wolves have combined for 20 goals and are led by Shannon Jerram and Hannah Rhodes with four each. Goalkeeper Sarah School has logged in over 973 minutes this season, collecting 32 saves en route to a 6-5 record. The Prairie Wolves are coached by Jen Dyson, who is in her first season in the role.
